Health Shield: Empowering Police Wellness program

Home / Project / Health Shield: Empowering Police Wellness program

The healthcare services for police personnel in Mumbai are being enhanced by upgrading the infrastructure and equipping 12 police dispensaries with essential medical equipment, thereby improving accessibility, quality of care, and overall well-being for police officers and their families.

Many of these dispensaries operate from ageing buildings with outdated infrastructure, limiting their ability to deliver quality healthcare. Renovation and upgradation, including the addition of modern medical equipment, are essential to bridge gaps in accessibility and service quality. Strengthening healthcare facilities across key locations in Mumbai will support the physical and mental well-being of police personnel, enabling a healthier, more efficient, and better-prepared workforce. Additionally, as these hospitals also cater to the families of police personnel, improved healthcare services will enhance overall family well-being, contributing to greater stability and positively influencing officers’ professional performance.
