We may collect information about you directly from you and from third parties, as well as automatically through your use of our Site or through services for our internal purposes, processing of your donations, providing receipts and tax exemption certificates, responding to your queries and informing you of the new opportunities to help PRIDE India. The personal information we collect may include, but is not limited to, your name, postal address, date of birth, PIN code, telephone numbers, mobile phone numbers, your organisation’s name, and email addresses. Regardless of how we receive your personal information, we make every effort to protect your privacy.

Social Media Login Data

We may offer you the option to register with us using your existing social media account details, such as your Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or other social media account. PRIDE India cannot prevent these sites or external domains from collecting information about the user’s consumption of content embedded on its site.

If you interact with us on a social media platform using your account, we receive personal information about you from those platforms, such as your name, email address, and gender. You may have the right to withdraw your consent to processing your personal information. Any personal information we collect from your social media account depends on its privacy settings. Please note that their own use of your information is not governed by this Privacy Notice.

2. How Do We Process Your Information?

We process your information to communicate with you and to inform you about any Services and opportunities you may have applied for through the website. Your information will be shared only with your consent. We don’t share your information with any other third parties.

3. What do we do with your personal information?

  • Donation Management & Record-Keeping via Danamojo: To process, verify, and maintain accurate financial and administrative records of all donations received, ensuring compliance with legal and auditing requirements.
  • Marketing & Communications (Opt-In/Opt-Out): To share organisational updates, bulletins, and newsletters regarding our programs and developments. Users retain the right to opt out or unsubscribe from these communications at any time via the link provided in each email.

4. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law. We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us to keep your personal information for longer than 1 year.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymise such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
