Capacity building of marginal farmers & livelihood diversification project

Home / Project / Capacity building of marginal farmers & livelihood diversification project

In many rural areas, livelihoods depend on rain-fed agriculture, with limited irrigation, low productivity, and few alternative sources of income. This often leads to unstable incomes and seasonal migration.

In Dharashiv, PRIDE India works with small, marginal, and landless households to strengthen livelihoods through agriculture, livestock, and better access to water.

The programme focuses on improving farming practices, expanding irrigation access, and supporting livestock-based livelihoods – while strengthening local institutions such as farmer groups to enable collective learning and better market access.

Over time, this helps households increase productivity, diversify income sources, and build more stable and self-reliant livelihoods.
